Information we collect

Contact form and email. When you use our contact form or email us, we collect your name, email address, the topic and message you send, and any recipe link you choose to include. We use this only to read and reply to your message.

Comments. When you leave a comment, we collect the details shown in the comment form, plus your IP address and browser user agent string to help detect spam.

Newsletter sign-ups. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address (and your name, if you give it) so we can send you updates. Subscriber details are handled through Mailchimp. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.

Analytics. We may use Google Analytics (through Google Site Kit) to understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages are popular. This collects information such as your approximate location, device and browser type, and pages visited. It does not tell us who you are.

How we use your information

  • To moderate comments and protect the site from spam
  • To improve our recipes and website

We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies

How long we keep your information

We keep contact messages for as long as needed to reply and for a reasonable time afterwards. Comments and their details are kept so that follow-up comments can be recognised and approved. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. We will do this unless we are required to keep it for legal, administrative or security reasons. To make a request, email info@gettoknow.in.
